Novarad installations reach record high in first half of 2007

Company News - Novarad Corporation
In the first half of this year, Novarad Corporation secured 40 installation contracts, putting Novarad and its NovaPACS and NovaRIS systems in nearly 300 hospitals, imaging centers, clinics and research labs worldwide. The 40 new contracts signed to date during 2007 include 15 hospitals, 12 imaging centers, 11 clinics and two research labs.

"It is rewarding to continue seeing such accelerated adoption for our PACS and RIS and to deliver the performance these facilities require at a price point that they can reach," said Paul Shumway, vice president at Novarad.

Of the new contracts secured, nine facilities purchased NovaRIS in addition to NovaPACS:

  • Southeastern Spine Institute, Pleasant, S.C.
  • Georgia Tech Student Health Center, Atlanta, Ga.
  • Computerized Medical Imaging, Eau Claire, Wis.
  • Arizona Radiology, Phoenix, Ariz.
  • Pemiscot Memorial Hospital, Hayti, Mo.
  • Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital, Hazelhurst, Miss.
  • Walnut Bottom Radiology, Carlisle, Pa.
  • Hospital General Zona Norte Puebla, Puebla, Pue, Mexico
  • Goodland Regional Hospital, Goodland, Kan.
The facilities selected NovaPACS and NovaRIS to help them increase efficiency and turnaround time on imaging reports, improve workflow and enhance scheduling and billing processes.

NovaPACS is a complete, enterprise-level PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and seven-year on-site archive with off-site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer.

NovaRIS is a Web-based, open standards RIS that generates reports, analyzes exams, measures profitability and facilities paperless management of patient records. NovaRIS is developed on the same platform as NovaPACS. Together, the systems enable fast retrieval of images and information from any web-enabled computer.
