Novarad Signs PACS and RIS Contracts With Two Mississippi Community Hospitals
| Company News - Novarad Corporation |
Mississippi community hospitals Perry County General Hospital in Richton and Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen selected Novarad technologies for their radiology departments.
Perry County General Hospital installed NovaPACS and Pioneer Community Hospital installed NovaPACS and NovaRIS. Novarad South, a Novarad distributor and systems integrator, serving hospitals, clinics and imaging centers in the southeast region of the U.S. facilitated both contracts. The rural hospitals anticipate improvements to their processes and services from the systems will include enhancing reading efficiency and report distribution onsite and speeding image transfers to offsite radiologists for immediate interpretation. Installations of the systems were completed in less than four weeks.
"Hospitals of all sizes are seeking technologies that will help enhance operational efficiency by improving quick access to images and accelerated study turnaround time," said Paul Shumway, Novarad Corporation vice president. "Our radiology systems are designed with the flexibility to configure to the unique needs of each facility, from the smallest rural hospital to large multi-system hospital networks and have proven time and again to deliver a return on investment in less than one year."
NovaPACS is Novarad's complete, turnkey PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer. To complement NovaPACS, Novarad offers NovaRIS. Developed on the same platform as NovaPACS, NovaRIS generates reports, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records.
