Novarad Signs RIS/PACS Contract With Hospital Group in Turkey

Company News - Novarad Corporation

Medical Park Hospital Group selected Novarad's NovaRIS and NovaPACS combined radiology system

Medical Park Hospital Group, the largest hospital group in Turkey, has selected Novarad's NovaRIS and NovaPACS combined radiology system to replace its existing RIS and PACS.

The contract was facilitated by Akfa Medikal Teknoloji, Novarad's distributor in Turkey. The hospital group comprises 13 hospitals throughout Turkey. The five-year contract also includes the installation of NovaRIS and NovaPACS at four additional hospitals that are owned by the Turkish government and managed by Medical Park Hospital Group. Factors behind the decision to select Novarad included the successful implementation of the combined radiology system at 1500-bed Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Center in Chennai, India as well as Novarad's consistently high customer satisfaction ratings in KLAS.

"After much evaluation of available RIS and PACS, our decision to replace our existing system with Novarad technologies was an easy one," said Ozgur Dumlu, biomedical engineering director for Medical Park. "We have been observing the NovaRIS/NovaPACS implementation in India and based on the exceptional performance they have experienced, combined Novarad's commitment to customer service, was the best match for us."

The installation will be completed in only weeks and the medical group can anticipate a return on its investment in less than a year. Additional benefits the medical group will realize include web-based access for sharing and viewing to all studies, improved scheduling and billing processes and 24 x 7 NovaCentral support that enables Novarad's customer support team to monitor, in real time, all of the critical functions of the PACS to ensure uptime and updates for optimal performance of the system.

"It is rewarding to see the continued and rapid growth of Novarad internationally," said G. C. Sharma, country director for Novarad. "We are consistently hearing from prospects and customers that the completeness of our system combined with our affordable pricing model is what makes us a standout."

NovaPACS is Novarad's complete, turnkey PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. Full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions are available to help enhance efficiency and referring physicians have complete access to images and reports from any computer. To complement NovaPACS, Novarad offers NovaRIS. Developed on the same platform as NovaPACS, NovaRIS generates reports, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records.
