Fleming County Hospital, Flemingsburg, Ky., is the latest hospital to select Novarad's NovaRIS and NovaPACS turnkey systems for its diagnostic imaging department. This contract brings Novarad's installations in Kentucky hospitals, clinics and imaging centers to one dozen. The company has more than 350 installations of its systems worldwide.
NovaRIS and NovaPACS will be implemented for the hospital's imaging procedures including: diagnostic radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, CT Scans, Mammography, and MRI. The JCAHO-accredited hospital is one of the largest employers in northern Kentucky.
The key decision factor behind Fleming County Hospital's selection was Novarad offered a complete, end-to-end solution. Its RIS and PACS systems are developed on the same database, providing seamless, total integration; software and hardware replacement is provided at no additional cost; and 24x7 remote support provides rural hospitals with anytime service to help eliminate system downtime.
"Fleming County Hospital required complete and sophisticated radiology systems along with IT support, often required by rural hospitals," said Paul Shumway, Novarad vice president. "These two items are hallmarks of our company. We provide the fully scalable, turnkey systems that will grow with the needs of a facility along with 24x7 remote support to supplement, or substitute, for a facility's in-house IT capability."
