The Journal of Nuclear Medicine has published Molecular Imaging of Cancer: from Molecules to Humans, a general reference tool that offers practitioners access to the most recent advancements in cancer diagnosis and patient care management through molecular imaging techniques.

The peer-reviewed supplement is the first general reference book available for physicians and scientists to help familiarize them with the state-of-the-art concepts of molecular imaging.

Guest Editor Sanjiv Sam Gambhir, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford University School of Medicine, has joined other well-known authors in contributing noteworthy research articles, touching on topics including:

  • The latest advances in molecular imaging instrumentation;
  • Tumor cell metabolism imaging;
  • Molecular-genetic imaging based on reporter gene expression; and
  • Tumor receptor imaging.

The reference book, published as a supplement to the June issue of The Journal of Nuclear Medicine, is now available for purchase at $41 for SNM members and $48 for non-members.

To order a copy, please visit http://servicecenter.snm.org or call (800) 513-6853. Copies will also be available at the SNM 55th Annual Meeting in New Orleans, June 14-18, 2008, at the SNM booth #555.
