Toshiba introduces Aegis breast imaging workstation to process MR images used for breast cancer analysis.
Toshiba America Medical Systems' announced the introduction of its Aegis breast imaging workstation, improving the ability to process MR images used for breast cancer analysis.
According to Toshiba, the Aegis breast workstation offers real-time 4D (3D + time) image processing, combining the speed and flexibility of a 3D visualization workstation with dedicated breast MRI algorithms, including kinetic curves and color maps and customizable reports. Software and hardware technology provides the clinician with real-time interactive control of datasets, as well as analysis driven by true, real-time 3D visualization of any dataset in any orientation.
Combined with hanging protocols, automated reporting, interventional accuracy, dynamic real-time processing and interventional guidance to multiple targets, the Aegis breast workstation is an industry leader in breast MR visualization and interventional guidance.
"The ability of the Aegis breast imaging workstation to identify potential areas of concern is significantly improving the ability of MR to diagnose breast cancer," said Doug Ryan, VP, Marketing and Strategic Development, Toshiba. "Combining this workstation with the capabilities of the Vantage MR systems creates a breast diagnostic tool."
Developed by Sentinelle Medical, the Aegis breast workstation is available on Toshiba's Vantage Atlas and Vantage Titan MR systems.
