IFMC has selected Orion Health Inc. solutions to automate the collection and transmission of electronic health record (EHR) information for its national customer base, allowing providers to impact patient care prospectively by providing a real time view of health outcomes.
IFMC, which provides care, quality and information management, products and services in the healthcare industry, has selected Orion Health Inc. solutions to automate the collection and transmission of electronic health record (EHR) information for its national customer base.
As part of its health management product suite, IFMC creates a clinical data warehouse of information from settings across the continuum of care (including providers, payers and health plans). This allows providers to impact patient care prospectively by providing a real time view of health outcomes. Orion Health's Rhapsody™ Integration Engine will help automate the data collection process, helping to free up resources and streamline workflow in the provider setting
Orion Health's data integration and portal solutions are being used in health information exchanges (HIEs) and leading EHR programs around the world. Orion Health President of North America and EMEA Paul Viskovich says, "IFMC has recognized the advantage that small-to-mid size organizations can achieve from adopting the same technology that is powering large-scale EHR systems."
IFMC's Director of Product Development, Brian Barry notes the organization selected Orion Health after reviewing several other health data integration vendors. Orion Health's solution met IFMC's requirements for advanced technical features and ability to integrate off-the-shelf with proprietary health information systems at a competitive price. Rhapsody's performance leadership, processing over 1.3 million HL7 messages per hour in performance tests, further validated IFMC's choice.
