Orion Health appointed Chris Stephens as Regional Manager for Australia and Southeast Asia

Orion Health Pty Ltd, a leading software developer for the healthcare industry, has appointed Chris Stephens as Regional Manager for Australia and Southeast Asia.

Based in Sydney, he will be responsible for all of Orion Health’s Australian operations as well as directing new business development across Southeast Asia from Orion Health’s soon to be opened Singapore office.

Mr Stephens joined the company in 1998 and has held key roles including software development, project and product management, business development and sales.  He holds a PhD in mathematics, and his understanding of the capabilities of Orion Health’s solutions combined with more than 10 years experience in International Healthcare IT markets positions him well to grow Orion Health’s business in Australia and Southeast Asia.

The company has experienced rapid growth, and today more than 300 employees supply technology and services to over 1,000 customers in 22 countries worldwide.

Orion Health aims to provide co-ordinated and integrated healthcare across the health sector, reducing lost referrals, clinical risk and duplicated information and improving the safety and quality of patient care.

Melbourne’s Peninsula Health, another of Orion Health’s Australian customers, is a recipient of the prestigious Don Walker Award for effectiveness in healthcare delivery from Heath Informatics Society of Australia. The Award acknowledged Peninsula Health for it e-Discharge and e-Prescribing initiatives that demonstrated a quantifiable impact on the improvement of patient outcomes.
