Intelerad hits milestone 500 IntelePACS sites

Radiology News - PACS
Intelerad Medical Systems has announced that the number of IntelePACS sites worldwide has exceeded the 500 mark. "Intelerad Medical Systems is proud to announce that the number of IntelePACS sites worldwide has exceeded the 500 mark.

Intelerad now has over five hundred installations of IntelePACS worldwide in a large variety of healthcare settings. Thomas Obenaus, Intelerad's System Architect explains: "As healthcare providers grow and add sites to their facilities, our engineers devise system architectures that maximize performance and redundancy in a distributed multisite environment. We take into account when and where images are required, what network connections are available, and what kind of redundancy is required at each location. Based on this information, we design the best IntelePACS architecture and workflow solution that meets the performance and economic needs of our customers."

Intelerads client-driven approach and understanding of PACS for wide area networks ensures a loyal following among its customers who are focused on expansion; especially those that use technology to propel the efficiency of their operations and to help differentiate their solution from competitors, such as Arizona-based SimonMed Imaging. Founded by Dr. John Simon, SimonMed grew from a single site installation in 2003 to a large, multisite facility that uses IntelePACS to conduct over 200,000 studies a year over its 10 locations. Their Scottsdale facility features the full gamut of diagnostic technologies including 3 Tesla and 1.5 Tesla MRI, digital mammography, 64-Slice CT, ultrasound, a vascular lab, bone density and digital X-Ray."
