North County Radiology Medical Group Installs New PET/CT Scanner at Regents Imaging – Escondido

Company News - Philips Healthcare

North County Radiology Medical Group announced that the company has installed a new Philips GEMINI TruFlight PET/CT scanner at its outpatient diagnostic imaging facility in Escondido, California.

North County Radiology Medical Group, a medical imaging company with five outpatient diagnostic imaging and therapeutic centers in the greater San Diego area, announced today that the company has installed a new Philips GEMINI TruFlight PET/CT scanner at its outpatient diagnostic imaging facility in Escondido, California.

PET/CT is a powerful diagnostic approach that can help physicians to make more accurate evaluations and help determine the most beneficial course of action. PET / CT has been shown to provide exceptional performance for many applications, including oncology, cardiology and brain imaging.

“The addition of PET/CT in Escondido provides an important diagnostic tool to supplement the MRI, ultrasound and other services currently offered by NCR to the community there,” said Scott Raymond, CEO of North County Radiology. “This will be the only PET/CT service conveniently located for patients in the North County Inland San Diego area. The Philips GEMINI TF system is advantageous in many ways – it allows us to merge PET and CT when needed, yet operates equally well for stand-alone PET or CT exams,” Raymond said.
