Philips Showcases New Portable Monitor at NTI

Company News - Philips Healthcare
At the AACN National Teaching Institute (NTI) show, Philips Healthcare is introducing the SureSigns VM1.
At the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses’ (AACN) National Teaching Institute (NTI) show, Philips Healthcare is introducing the SureSigns VM1. This new, portable patient monitor adds CO2 measurement capabilities to vital signs and SpO2 monitoring, delivering important respiratory measurements in critical care.

In addition, Philips Healthcare patient monitoring and resuscitation technologies will be showcased in Carolinas MED-1, a prototype mobile hospital owned and operated by Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C., which will be open for tours during show hours.

Designed to monitor adult, pediatric and neonatal patients, the SureSigns VM1 helps critical care nurses obtain important respiratory measurements such as SpO2 and CO2 parameters from one device. In addition, the SureSigns VM1 stores 96 hours of trend data in a compact, easy-to-carry design.

The SureSigns VM1 provides a cost-effective, easy-to-use and easy-to-support patient monitor that is compatible with a wide range of sensors. Built upon Philips leadership tradition in patient monitoring, the SureSigns VM1 is able to export clinical measurements in HL7 format (via an Ethernet connection) to the patient’s electronic medical record for simple documentation.
