When Carl's Table was founded and introduced to the market in 2003 by the Swedish Medtech company AO Medical Products, it was the first state-of-the-art ergonomic workplace for soft-copy reading.
Now in 2008, Planilux has improved and developed even more innovative features in order to meet customer requirements and to make the radiologists' working environment even more comfortable.

The New Eltrono 2008 presents the following features:
- New work surfaces have been developed, including larger work surface and one fixed table top for books and accessories.
- A touchscreen panel is ergonomically placed for comfortable handling and individual presets as an option.
- The height adjustability is improved and extended to enable more user heights.
- The adjustable monitor holders have a new design and are now even more flexible. They are shiftable to the left and right and enables easy mounting of four flat screen monitors.

The patented features, the Ergo-Tilt and the Adaptive Light are still included in the Eltrono 2008 version. The important sound absorbing panel also comes as standard.
