Positron Corporation announces the installation of their Attrius PET Scanner into the Heart Center of Niagara, New York.

Positron Corporation a molecular imaging solutions company focused on Nuclear Cardiology, announces the installation of their Attrius PET System into the office of Michael E. Merhige, M.D., LLC, located within The Heart Center of Niagara, Niagara Falls, New York.

The Attrius is the only PET scanner offered on the market today that is optimized for myocardial perfusion imaging. The Attrius is a standalone full ring PET system, manufactured through Positron’s joint venture, Neusoft Positron Medical Systems Co., Ltd.

Tim Gabel, Positron’s Vice President of Engineering and Operations stated, “It is exciting to see our vision of a dedicated cardiac PET scanner come to fruition. We are confident that our long term customers, like Dr. Merhige, will be pleased to see that their feedback and suggestions have been implemented into the design of the Attrius and that our new customers will enjoy the benefit of over 25 years of experience in clinical PET that the Attrius has to offer.
