Cranel Imaging Chooses ProStor InfiniVault for Enterprise Content Management Market

Company News - ProStor Systems

Construction Imaging adopted the ProStor InfiniVault

ProStor Systems, the leader in enterprise-class removable disk storage systems for data backup and retention management, announced that Construction Imaging has adopted the company's ProStor InfiniVault product line as a reliable and affordable storage solution for its integrated system offerings. The construction industry is yet another market in which ProStor InfiniVault has been proven successful as an alternative to tape, optical, and disk when data must be properly maintained and managed for five years or longer. To date, ProStor InfiniVault has been implemented in multiple verticals including finance, government, healthcare, enterprise content management, and gaming.

Construction Imaging, which provides imaging systems, business process re-engineering solutions, document management, workflow management and enterprise content management solutions to the construction industry, recently installed ProStor InfiniVault systems at S.T. Wooten Corporation and Complete General Construction. Todd Williams, Senior Vice President of Operations and CFO of Construction Imaging, strongly supported the decision to select ProStor InfiniVault after spending several months researching other technologies:

"We provide and automate our customers' document storage needs and create efficiencies from a workflow perspective. The main requirements that are most important to our customers are the system's longevity, scalability, meeting legal compliance requirements, and price," Williams said. "When comparing ProStor InfiniVault against other technologies, we found that the ability of the ProStor InfiniVault to provide WORM and audit trail functions at the file level were superior to all others we were considering at the time."

One of the main benefits of ProStor InfiniVault is the system's guaranteed scalability and longevity. Prior to selecting ProStor InfiniVault for its document management solutions, Construction Imaging was facing the difficulties of dealing with obsolete optical storage technologies already in use. "The fact that the RDX removable disk interface is universal and its existing widespread adoption across so many manufacturers is a huge difference over optical," noted Williams.

"Our growing family of successful ProStor InfiniVault technology supporters empowers us to consistently deliver an impressive return-on-investment and substantial reduction in total-cost-of-ownership for our customer base," said Buzz Walker, vice president of marketing and product management for ProStor Systems. "For 15 years, Construction Imaging has met their customers' archiving needs, and is the leader in creating unique document management solutions for the construction industry. We're pleased to offer Construction Imaging ProStor InfiniVault as a must-have long-term retention and compliance resource."

Last month, ProStor Systems announced the general availability of Release 2 of ProStor InfiniVault, which adds brand-new system elements to its already rich feature set, including remote replication, read/write vaults, dual Ethernet adaptors and capacity reclamation.
