RADinfo SYSTEMS Completes a Massive 22 Clinic Urgent Care PACS Installation

Company News - RADinfo SYSTEMS
RADinfo SYSTEMS accomplishes a web-based PACS installation to meet the special workflow at urgent care centers and ambulatory practices RADinfo SYSTEMS has successfully completed the urgent care Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) installation at a large group of primary care clinics in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. The primary care clinics offer family care, urgent care, physical therapy, occupational medicine, travel medicine, and provide x-ray services at all of their 22 urgent care focused sites.

Prior to implementing CR and PACS technology, each of the practice's clinics transported all of their radiographic images to off-site radiologists for final interpretations on a daily basis, which was time consuming, labor intensive, and very expensive. Switching from the analog realm to a complete digital solution, the practice has seen significant improvements in productivity and patient care. To meet the practice's unique urgent care needs, RADinfo SYSTEMS custom designed their study notes, which have played an integral part in the workflow improvements at their facilities.

The immense success at the large primary urgent care clinics spawned an initiative at RADinfo SYSTEMS to specially develop a software system for the often-overlooked Urgent Care market. With a vision to extend the results seen at these clinics to other practices, RADinfo SYSTEMS' engineers and software developers worked on a design that would reflect the distinctive needs of an urgent care practice, crafting each function with the user's sense of urgency in mind. The inspired product, PowerPACS(R) for Urgent Care, offers a PACS solution that has the same proven technology included with RADinfo SYSTEMS' other products, augmented by features constructed specifically for the unique workflow of urgent care practices. Ensuring advantages spanning from organizational improvements to increased time efficiency, and ultimately and foremost, higher quality patient care, RADinfo SYSTEMS is poised to introduce the PowerPACS(R) for Urgent Care software at the 2009 Annual Urgent Care Convention, held by the Urgent Care Association of America, in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 20-23.
