Medical Conferences News - RSNA 2007
InSite One, the leader in managed archiving, storage and disaster recovery services for the digital imaging market, announces at RSNA 2007, the next generation of its services roadmap: InDex® 5 Release.

InSite One, the leader in managed archiving, storage and disaster recovery services for the digital imaging market, announces at RSNA 2007, the next generation of its services roadmap: InDex® 5 Release.

InDex 5 will contain new features that will improve enterprise workflow and management capabilities. Responding to the growing demand for enterprise solutions from OEM partners and their clients, InSite One has developed a roadmap to enhance the InDex Archive services preparing users for the future.

The InDex 5 services will expand the tools to intelligently manage information for the life of clinical data. The release will incorporate a revised set of web-enabled administration functions for reporting and configuration management across virtual storage assets. This will begin to address the users' ability to manage InDex services as a repository of all data types and the ability to capture HL-7 results and store them for clinical applications and the electronic medical record. InDex 5 is planned for general availability in February, 2008.

InDex 5 comes on the heels of the InDex 4.1 release in October, 2007 with the inclusion of long-term storage management of non-DICOM data, high availability (99.999 per cent) for on-site storage configurations and expansion of interface capabilities with HL-7 features for patient reconciliation.

"The new features in InDex 5 roadmap will allow clients to have greater functionality within the archive, especially for patient identification and reconciliation across all modalities and applications," comments Paul Dandrow, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for InSite One. "InDex 5 is at the leading edge of emerging technology and ensures our commitment to the market in delivering the highest performing archive," Mr. Dandrow continues.

InSite One's InDex Archive currently contains over 1.3 billion individual medical images and records, nearly 20 million studies, for over 500 healthcare facilities nationally. On a monthly basis, this archive averages over 500,000 new studies. This volume illustrates the confidence hospitals and imaging centers have in InSite One's InDex Archive.
