Intelerad to debut PET/CT Fusion Module at RSNA 2007

Intelerad Medical Systems Incorporated, a leading PACS innovator and supplier to hospitals, imaging centers and teleradiology practices, announces the availability of PET/CT fusion functionality in IntelePACS.
Intelerad Medical Systems Incorporated, a leading PACS innovator and supplier to hospitals, imaging centers and teleradiology practices, announces the availability of PET/CT fusion functionality in IntelePACSTM.
The new PET/CT fusion functionality will bring the capabilities of a dedicated PET/CT fusion workstation to IntelePACS as a fully integrated module for InteleviewerTM, the IntelePACS native viewer. Within the PET/CT fusion module clinicians will have access to specific PET/CT statistics such as Standard Uptake Values (SUVs) and volume measurements.
Additionally, the PET, CT and fusion views can have independent color maps and window levels. A key feature of the PET/CT fusion module is a rotating MIP (Maximum Intensity Projection) view to develop a volumetric sense of areas of high (FDG) uptake. Within the rotating MIP view regions can be removed to concentrate on areas of specific interest.
InteleViewer’s standard features, like Advanced Region of Interest (ROI) functionality, including freehand drawing, will be available in the PET/CT fusion module. Similarly, slice thickness, plane location, angle and separation can be manipulated in the sagittal, coronal, transverse and oblique views.
The PET/CT fusion module will be attractive for viewing studies acquired from hybrid scanners. An integrated PACS PET/CT module eliminates the need for dedicated PET/CT workstations and provides the flexibility of enterprise-wide availability, delivering significant cost savings.
Intelerad will be demonstrating the PET/CT fusion module at RSNA 2007, November 25 – 29 in Chicago, Illinois, at McCormick Place. Intelerad will be in booth 4759, Hall A.
