Orthoview will showcase new client/server software at RSNA this year
| Radiology Conferences - RSNA 2007 |
Also being demonstrated will be OrthoView's Version 5 software, which comes with a new module for limb deformity planning and a unique new facility for on-screen visualisation of plate-bending. 'Plate contouring' is the result of much research and consultation with leading trauma specialists and has been developed in response to numerous requests from surgeons.

OrthoView's new Limb Deformity Module enables oseotomy planning
Surgeons bend plates during surgery to fit particular bones. This is something that is difficult to plan in advance using conventional X-rays, and therefore the ability to visualise this procedure on-screen is of real benefit. OrthoView is the first company to be able to offer this particular planning facility.
The limb deformity package facilitates planning of full leg and single bone osteotomies, with the ability to plan deformities in the frontal, sagittal or oblique plane. A unique reduction tool allows quick and easy visualisation of the planned correction and the module supports templating of internal and external fixators, including the Taylor Spatial Frame.
In addition, many new templates are available with the new version, including an extensive range of peri-articular plates.
The new module for limb deformity planning and the unique new facility for on-screen visualisation of plate bending will be demonstrated on booth #2973 in the South Building, and also on a number of the company's PACS partners' booths throughout the conference.
