The 94th Annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA 2008) is to be held at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois from November 30-December 5. The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) comprises 41,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists and allied scientists. The meeting provides educational opportunities for the adult professionals from many specialties and disciplines within radiology and the entire healthcare arena. Specialists from more than 100 countries will convene and discuss radiologic innovations attending refresher courses and scientific sessions, listening to first-class lecturers and visiting education exhibits.


The technical exhibition at RSNA is a major attraction of the meeting. Here the leading radiology companies from all over the world display, at their booths, the latest innovations in the field. The RSNA 2007 technical exhibition occupied two halls, a record 535,300 square feet (49,749 square meters), featuring 757 leading manufacturers, suppliers and developers of medical technology. This year, the exhibition will span three halls.
Some interesting booths include:


Toshiba America Medical systems, booth 3429, Hall A. They will be exhibiting Aquilion One, first dynamic volume CT system. Toshiba will also showcase automated workflow enhancements and clinical applications for the Aquilion™ CT line designed to reduce patient radiation dose, provide faster diagnosis and maximize patient comfort. Toshiba will unveil women's imaging ultrasound techniques, including breast imaging techniques that enable physicians to better evaluate breast lesions and Spatio-Temporal Image Correlation (STIC) technology to assess the fetal heart.


Siemens - Booth 4222, Hall A.
South Building & Booth 922, Hall D, East Building. MAMMOMAT® NovationDR is Siemen's high-end, fullfield digital mammography system for screening, diagnostics and biopsy applications. Siemens Acuson S2000 Ultrasound System provides superior image quality, knowledge- based workflow and adaptive ergonomics. The Syngo Portal Transcriptionist helps transcriptionists achieve greater efficiency and accuracy. Fovia - Booth 9546, Hall B. The Enhanced High Definition Volume Rendering® from Fovia that allows physicians to take full advantage of 3D imaging.


MEDRAD - Booth 2815, Hall A. MEDRAD Multi Vendor Service provides depot-based repairs for MRI coils, ultrasound transducers and ultrasound parts from any original equipment manufacturer (OEM). MVS will feature MRI Coils and Ultrasound Probes, before and after repair, at RSNA.


Dunlee - Booth 4200, Hall A. Dunlee, a division of Philips Healthcare, will showcase the DA 200, 6.3 MHU replacement tube for several popular GE CT systems. They will also show the new 6.3 MHU replacement for the Elite, Edge and Excel GE BrightSpeed CT Systems and the DA 135 replacement for the CT/e ai and CT /e Dual GE CT/e CT systems. The Dunlee DR1400 - radiographic over table and under table X-ray tube will be at the show, as well as the Stargate CT Tube used on Philips 6.5 MHU Philips MX800 Dual System.
