Carbon Neutral Digital Radiography Panel at RSNA 2009

Medical Conferences News - RSNA 2009

World's First Carbon Neutral Digital Radiography Panel to be Unveiled at RSNA 2009 will take place in Chicago in between November 29th and December 4th.

The increased international importance placed on climate change constantly highlights the necessity for a reduction in carbon emissions across all industry sectors. With this in mind, the introduction of Schaef Systemtechnik's new DRF A 4343 flat panel X-Ray detector is an excellent example of a top of the range product with an intrinsic environmentally friendly manufacturing strategy. Such a strategy has resulted in the creation of a high quality a-Si based DR Solution at the lowest price in the market with the significant added benefit of being carbon neutral and Schaef Systemtechnik are very much looking forward to presenting the product at RSNA 2009.

Held between November 29th and December 4th in Chicago, the RSNA 2009 meeting is the preeminent radiology professional networking and technology presentation event in the world, with over 58,000 attendees last year alone. Along with educational workshops, case study discussions and hands-on training exhibits the meeting is seen by many as the primary medium for the communication of innovative technology. This makes it the perfect stage upon which to display exciting new products such as the DRF A 4343 DRP.

The innovative DRF A 4343 is a 17"x17" flat panel designed to work with new or existing systems and can be implemented non-invasively. The panel has an a-Si TFT imaging array with a resolution of 9.4 million pixels and will be available in general and portable versions with equal image quality. FDA clearance is currently pending on the environmentally friendly device whose high-end specifications may be fully discussed with Schaef Systemtechnik at RSNA 2009.

The introduction of the DRF A 4343 into a professional working environment has the dual benefit of upgrading older X-ray systems quickly and easily whilst also adding to the environmental legitimacy of the company involved. In a market situation filled with difficult decisions rarely is the choice of whether or not to consider a brand new product so clear-cut. Whether the purchasing emphasis is to be on price, functionality, innovation or a reduction in carbon emissions, the DRF A 4343 is definitely amongst the front-runners.
