Vendors Bring Out New Apps for RSNA

More than 700 vendors will be exhibiting their technological wares for radiology professionals during RSNA-2010 , Nov. 28-Dec. 3 in Chicago. Among those showing off new products:
- Philips Healthcare will showcase its recently launched consulting service to help clients get the most out of their technology investments. The company also is introducing a series of workflow applications for its iSite PACs, as well as a new oncology-dedicated imaging solution called the Panorama HFO Oncology Configuration. It enables MRI imaging during radiation treatment.
- GE Healthcare will announce availability of the Discovery NM/CT 670 for nuclear medicine. The hybrid imaging platform combines a newly designed SPECT gantry for greater positional flexibility, advanced nuclear medicine detectors and the vendor's BrightSpeed Elite 16-slice CT. The company also will show Centricity PACS 3.2. The newest release of its picture archiving and communication system integrates with the Centricity Enterprise Archive 4.0 and Centricity Precision Reporting modules.
- Carestream Health will exhibit two new functions in its CARESTREAM PACS product. They are a Web portal to enable viewing of imaging and patient data by remote users and an optional module to deliver embedded critical results notifications that meet Joint Commission requirements. A new eHealth Portal service enables users of the vendor's remotely hosted archiving service to share data with any authorized user in the world through an Internet connection.
