RamSoft's PowerServer 5.1 Now Supports Breast Tomosynthesis: RSNA 2011
| Medical Conferences News - RSNA 2011 |
RamSoft will demonstrate support for breast tomosynthesis in PowerServer 5.1 at the Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the RSNA 2011 – Lakeside Center, Booth # 600.
Support is fully integrated into all versions of PowerServer 5.1 that support mammography so your radiologists are not dependent on a dedicated mammography workstation to review breast tomosynthesis studies.
Breast tomosynthesis is a 3D imaging technology that acquires images of a stationary breast from multiple angles during short scan. The images are then transferred to the PowerServer 5.1 where the slices are reconstructed into a 3D volume. The advantage of breast tomosynthesis over traditional 2D breast imaging is that reconstructed tomosynthesis slices reduce or eliminate the problems caused by tissue overlap and structure noise.
Mammography is supported in PowerServer 5.1 RIS/PACS, PACS, Tele Plus/Lite and our Gateway Mammo Viewer. The embedded mammography technology allows you to view all forms of breast imaging (MRI, ultrasound, tomography and x-ray) from a single client interface. PowerServer 5.1 combines the mammography-specific image management and reporting tools previously available only in dedicated mammography workstations with the flexibility of a multi-modality radiology solution.
PowerServer 5.1 also includes a Complete Certified EHR specifically for our PowerServer RIS/PACS and Tele Plus which allows radiologists to qualify for Meaningful Use grants by using software specifically designed for radiology. This Complete EHR / EHR Module is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ATCB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
" Meaningful Use grants allow an imaging facility to purchase a complete solution from RamSoft that includes diagnostic viewing of all types of breast images," says Vijay Ramanathan, President and CEO of RamSoft.
