RSNA to Engage Members at their Annual Meeting ( RSNA 2011 ) with a 3D/2D Virtual Platform.

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and Digitell, Inc have signed an agreement to create the first 3D RSNA Virtual Event. As a focal point around it's annual meeting, RSNA is breaking new ground with the development of a virtual space in a 3D, Immersive Environment, where attendees will create an Avatar and navigate around the space.

"RSNA selected Digitell because we were looking for an Innovative platform that provides flexibility, engagement and excitement. Digitell's 3D platform was perfect for what we were looking for," says Steve Drew, Assistant Executive Director, Scientific Assembly. "A customizable system that interfaces seamlessly with our electronic presentation system along with 3D technology is the future and we wanted to start laying the foundation to be part of that future right now," adds Drew.

The Virtual Campus will include a replication of RSNA's society services space at RSNA 2011 Annual Meeting being held at McCormack Place in Chicago, November 27 - December 2nd, 2011. The space includes the RSNA Plaza, a Networking Lounge, 14 "Case of the Day" Kiosks, Vendor Showcases, A Vendor Auditorium, Meeting Rooms and the Arie Crown Theater, where sessions from the Annual Meeting will be Live Streamed. In addition, the space is packed with information, videos, documents and social media, all being updated and changed frequently. With many opportunities for attendees to obtain CME credits, RSNA is expecting a strong turnout for this event.

The RSNA Virtual platform will be open starting on October 27th, 2011 for attendees to create their avatar, download the client and familiarize themselves with the environment. In addition, RSNA will be providing an interactive and engaging web based option for those looking for access via the web or those unable to access the 3D environment, which is PC friendly only.
