New Expert Radiology series fills a gap among available clinical imaging references
| Radiology News - Radiology Articles |
Elsevier, publisher of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has introduced Expert Radiology, a new series of two-volume titles designed to fill an important niche among imaging references.
The new Expert Radiology series has been developed to meet radiologists' need for more in-depth information, while still utilizing a concise, highly readable format to make that information easy to locate and apply.
- Each title in the series addresses a single radiologic subspecialty, covering all of the specifics that radiologists need to reach accurate diagnoses and prepare thorough, actionable reports.
- Thousands of digital-quality images, displayed at optimal size for easy viewing, capture the full array of findings associated with every imaging modality that is relevant for that subspecialty.
- Preeminent international editors and contributors present a broad range of perspectives, including the pros, cons, and pitfalls associated with every imaging option.
- Coverage of interventional and therapeutic procedures helps radiologists perform these increasingly in-demand techniques.
- Concise summaries of evidence-based practices, protocols, American College of Radiology guidelines, and other key considerations facilitate decision making.
- Color-coded tables and bulleted lists provide rapid reference to important concepts, and full-color artwork offers valuable anatomic views of diseases and injuries.
"Radiologists require references that offer a logical and time-saving approach to diagnosis in each area of imaging," commented Judith Fletcher, Publishing Director of Global Medicine at Elsevier. "This means including decision-making analysis and established practice guidelines - information that the new generation of radiologists demand, and that current reference books in the field lack. The new Expert Radiology titles accommodate all of the feedback we have been hearing from radiologists concerning their clinical reference needs. As a result, we expect them to be very well received."
The Expert Radiology titles that have just published address chest imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, and image-guided interventions. Subsequent volumes will cover head and neck imaging, brain and spine imaging, abdominal imaging, and cardiovascular imaging.
