Fluoroscopically-guided Intra-articular Cortisone Effective in Frozen Shoulder

According to a study published in the 'Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy', a fluoroscopic-guided intra-articular injection series of cortisone is an effective treatment option in frozen shoulder syndrome for fast pain reduction and increased range motion.

Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis is a chronic debilitating painful condition in middle-aged which limits the mobility of the shoulder joint. The capsule of the shoulder joint become inflamed, stiff and leads to formation of adhesions.

Even thought he exact cause is not known, predisposing factors include diabetes, Injury, breast surgery, lung cancer etc.
