Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) has opened a new outpatient imaging center in Waukesha’s Westbrook Health Center.

The Imaging Center allows CDI to expand services to include high-field (1.5T) MRI , multi-slice CT as well as x-ray . In addition, there are plans of offering digital mammography and ultrasound services in early 2010.

“In today’s healthcare environment, patient choice is paramount,” states Patricia Zadra, Vice President of Operations, CDI. “We need to continually work to provide our patients – as well as the doctors who refer them – a convenient option when choosing a quality medical imaging provider. Moving our center just 11 miles east places us in a better location for quick access off I-94 and Hwy 18. What’s more, our new space gives us the opportunity to add CT scanning services into our clinic and maintain room for future growth.”

“Over the past few years, we’ve had a strong focus on upgrading our clinics and equipment. These enhancements have allowed us to bring very advanced imaging services, such as 3-Tesla MRI and 20-slice CT , to patients in convenient outpatient settings throughout our community,” said Dr. James E. Youker, CDI radiologist and Medical Director, Medical College of Wisconsin. “Additionally, keeping pace with technical advancements not only enhances our diagnostic accuracy but it also provides faster, safer care for our patients.”

The new center is located at 2315 East Moreland Blvd, Suite 1500 in Waukesha. CDI’s center in Waukesha is operated in partnership with the Medical College and Froedtert Hospital.
