Eisner USA, LLC announced the release of its latest innovative product, BODYVIZ for the medical and veterinarian community.

This 3D imaging software, BODYVIZ, combines actual medical imaging data and the best of video game technology to create vivid 3D visualization used on a PC or laptop.

The introduction of this 3D medical software allows anyone from surgeons, medical/anatomy students, imaging professionals and veterinarians, to simply “travel” under the skin, past the bones, through the arteries, blood vessels and organs and literally fly through patients’ bodies. The X-box game controller lets physicians create "clipping” planes and insert virtual surgical tools that can be maneuvered around internal structures of the anatomy in all directions.

Since receiving Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510k clearance in March 2009, BodyViz has been catching the interest of top medical institutions across the country. The Methodist Hospital in Houston, named one of “America’s Best Hospitals” by US News and World Report, recently invested in BodyViz’s stereoscopic 16’x9’ 3D silver screen. Dr. Brian Butler, Chairman of the Radiation Oncology Department at Methodist says, “The 3D images allow us to do a pre-flight simulation of how we’re going to perform operations. That's something we‘ve been unable to do outside of surgery — until now.”

Eisner USA Vice President, J.D. Kirchberg says “The ability to convert standard CT and MRI scans into this stunning 3D environment is amazing. The cost combined with how simple it is to use, download and install will ultimately change the way surgeons prep for surgery, how medical students will learn visually and how the patient will be more educated.

Eisner USA’s collaboration with BodyViz, allows the company to promote this innovative 3D software to a large market base. The medical community, teaching hospitals and schools, as well as free standing imaging centers that will allow patients to travel through their own bodies. Additionally, in the veterinarian market, the software will allow veterinarians and pet owners the ability to visualize their pet’s condition for the planning of definitive treatments as well as client education.
