Imaging Endpoints Selects OpenClinica Enterprise

Radiology News - Radiology
Akaza Research, LLC announced that Imaging Endpoints has selected the OpenClinica Enterprise Edition as the electronic data capture and data management platform for its clinical trials. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Imaging Endpoints is a medical imaging core lab that works to maximize the efficiency and quality of high stakes pharmaceutical and medical device trials. The company provides imaging core lab services for oncology, cardiovascular, neurology, and musculoskeletal studies.

“Critical to the success of our clients’ trials, Imaging Endpoints relies on advanced software for electronic data capture and management. The OpenClinica Enterprise Edition allows us to accelerate our imaging clinical trials and provide the most efficient, reliable, cost-effective imaging studies in the fastest possible timeframes,” said Alison Coates, Director of Imaging Endpoints.

The OpenClinica Enterprise Edition is the commercially supported version of the OpenClinica open source clinical trials software. It facilitates the collection of clinical trial data in distributed settings, provides transparency into trial progress, and has tools for ensuring data is clean, uniform, and can be readily analyzed.

Akaza’s professional open source model for OpenClinica provides high-impact benefits to OpenClinica Enterprise customers. Enhanced flexibility, ready access to data, and absence of “per-study” pricing are among key attributes of this model. The end result is that the customer has more control over set-up and use of the technology, allowing them to more rapidly deploy EDC and more easily tailor the system to meet requirements of specific studies.

Akaza Research CEO, Cal Collins, said, “Working with technology focused leaders like Imaging Endpoints is always a great experience because we understand the impact well-implemented EDC technology can have on clinical trial success. Together with Imaging Endpoints we can deliver highly capable, rapidly deployed, and cost effective clinical data capture and data management solutions for imaging clinical trials.”
