Remington College –Mobile Campus is enrolling students for its new Medical Assisting with x-ray Tech (Limited Scope) and EKG program. The program is designed to prepare graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary for entry-level positions such as limited x-ray technicians in hospitals, radiology clinics, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies*.

Students in the Medical Assisting with x-ray Tech (Limited Scope) and EKG program can earn their diploma in as few as 12 months and graduates are eligible to take the Nationally Registered-Certified EKG Technician certification exam (NR-CEKG).

Registered, state-certified/licensed x-ray technicians may be called on to operate fixed and portable x-ray equipment, position patients for x-rays, develop x-ray s, or provide general assistance to x-ray technologists or other medical office personnel. They may also be called on to perform EKGs.

The Medical Assisting with x-ray Tech (Limited Scope) and EKG program offers classroom study and includes several hands-on x-ray and EKG labs and clinical experiences. In addition, an externship opportunity may allow students who meet and maintain GPA requirements gain valuable experience working in an approved medical facility under direct supervision of qualified personnel. During the program, students will also have a chance to learn medical insurance coding, patient billing, and more.
