RamSoft Inc. unveils several enhancements to its PowerServer 4.5, the latest version of its radiology information system (RIS) and PACS software.

Updates include speed and performance improvements to enhance loading, reading and switching between studies of any size. In addition, features now include 100 percent Web-based access, on-demand data mining, workflow productivity reporting, personnel productivity reporting, improved turnaround times and status tracking, and exporting to PDF.

The company has designed fast study alerts; efficient e-mail auto report distribution; a Web-based physician portal to place exam orders and view exam results; immediate power cache and replication technology; and smart routing to enable routing by status, modality, faculty, physician, date, time and other DICOM tags.
