RamSoft Inc. will be introducing an entry-level version of its web-based PACS, PowerServer Lite, at the Health Information and Management Systems Society 2008 conference (HIMSS Booth 2415). The new version of the popular server is aimed at bringing an affordable solution to facilities who are feeling pressure from recent reimbursement cuts.
"We are thrilled to be able to offer something fresh and of real value to budget conscious facilities." says Vijay Ramanathan, President and CEO, RamSoft Inc "We've been following the industry closely and think its time for a coherent affordable PACS solution; and we dislike seeing facilities struggle with patchwork systems."
An important aspect of this economical system is that facilities are never locked into the entry-level solution. Once a facility grows to a point where a more powerful system is required, PowerServer Lite's upgrade path allows for quick and painless advancement to the complete PowerServer PACS or PowerServer RIS/PACS.
This flexibility allows facilities to start with a low risk entry-level solution but still maintaining the capacity required in the event of rapid growth without sacrificing initial investment. Additionally, this upgrade model virtually eliminates the downtime and migration costs associated with deploying a substitute system. PowerServer Lite is a single server entry-level PACS built on a proven web-based platform. It is affordably licensed based on annual study volume and comes with unlimited workstation and user licenses.
