Revolutions Medical Filed for Patent Protection in Europe for its Pending MRI Patents
| Company News - Revolutions Medical Corporations |
Revolutions Medical Corporation has commenced an important step in securing European protection for the most important claims associated with the MRI patents.
This step follows the previous United States PCT application filings in June 2007. "The US and European Countries make up nearly 70% of the MRI market. Securing these two markets is key for protecting our patent rights on future products that we expect to roll out in the next 12 months for our proprietary Color and 3D MRI software," states Ron Wheet, CEO Revolutions Medical.
Rev Color and Rev 3D software will be compatible with current Picture Archival Computer Systems (PACS). Radiologists and Physicians are use to viewing the black and white MRI images on a PACS, so Rev Med's proprietary software tools can be easily added to current PACS to show the black and white images in color and 3D using automatic segmentation. The images can also be sorted into a riffle stack and split screen, with black and white on one side, color on the other. Revolutions Medical feels that the advantages of having color and 3D easily accessible to the Radiologist for viewing, along with the black and white MRI images, should make for faster and more reliable diagnosis and should help in bringing down costs.
