Riverain Medical appointed Rich Bares as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

Riverain Medical , an industry leader and innovator in computer-aided detection ( CAD ) and advanced visualization technologies, announced it has appointed Rich Bares as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In this role, Mr. Bares will be responsible for the global go-to-market and support strategies for the company.

Rich has an exemplary management track record and brings with him a breadth of knowledge of the industry,” said Diane Hirakawa, CEO and Chairman of Riverain Medical. “Creating a global sales and marketing structure is a critical aspect to the future growth of our company, and something we believe Rich is uniquely qualified to do.”

Mr. Bares has more than 25 years experience in the medical imaging and medical software industry. Most recently he was Executive Vice President of Acuitec, LLC, an early-stage company focused on commercializing peroperative software. In this position he was responsible for establishing and building the sales process, cultivating strategic partnerships, and working with members of Acuitec’s team to create offerings that address technological needs within the market. He previously held management positions at Agfa Healthcare, GE Healthcare, Toshiba Medical Systems, and ISG Technologies. Mr. Bares holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Laras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Denver, Colo.
