Chest X-ray bone suppression and chest X-ray CAD technologies available in Canada through partnership between Riverain Medical and Christie Group

Riverain Medical announced that the company will be partnering with leading Canadian medical imaging distributor Christie Group to offer SoftView Enhanced Chest Imaging and OnGuard Chest Xray CAD. The exclusive agreement will bring Dayton, Ohio based Riverain Medical's products to the Canadian market through Christie Group's established and reputable sales channel.

SoftView Enhanced Chest Imaging increases the clarity of digital chest X-ray images by suppressing bone and providing a soft tissue image for more confident image interpretations. This practical enterprise-wide solution uses existing X-ray equipment, providing a soft tissue image for digital chest X-rays.

OnGuard Chest X-ray CAD identifies solitary pulmonary nodules on a chest X-ray, which could represent early-stage lung cancer. With universal PACS connectivity and seamless integration into the radiologist's existing workstation, OnGuard is a quick and easy to use tool in the fight against lung cancer. A recent study demonstrates that OnGuard can detect almost 50% of lung cancers that were missed in the initial interpretation.
