SIIM 2008 - Fovia Medical, Inc., has introduced its next generation thin client High Definition Volume Rendering® technology, and will be demonstrating its enterprise 3D solution at the annual meeting of SIIM

Fovia Medical, Inc., a leader in advanced volume visualization, has introduced its next generation thin client High Definition Volume Rendering® technology, and will be demonstrating its enterprise 3D solution at the annual meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) in Seattle, Washington, May 15-17 (Booth 1010).

Fovia's scalable, CPU-based HDVRTM architecture enables users to take full advantage of multicore processors and 64-bit architecture, thereby dramatically boosting performance and allowing interactive HDVR of the largest datasets generated by today's medical imaging equipment.

"With Fovia's technology, PACS companies and other OEMs can easily integrate High Definition Volume Rendering natively into their products, satisfying a key market demand," stated Steve Sandy, Fovia's Vice President of Business Development. "Very compact and high density off-the-shelf servers can now manage multiple, concurrent 3D sessions throughout the healthcare enterprise using standard PCs and laptops as true thin clients, resulting in a fundamental workflow paradigm shift. By deeply integrating Fovia's technology, OEMs can now offer advanced 3D post-processing solutions within their architecture and as part of their own user interface, thus providing a uniform visualization experience to their customers."
