FUJIFILM Opts Out Of SIIM 2009 Exhibit
| Medical Conferences News - SIIM 2009 |
FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA has announced that the company will not be exhibiting at this year’s Society of Imaging and Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) Annual Meeting in Charlotte, NC
The decision was made as part of the company’s overall evaluation of expenditures in these current economic times, and the determination to focus on maintaining the highest level of product development and customer service. Fujifilm’s commitment to the SIIM organization and its members remains unwavering as the company looks forward to continued collaborations.
“Today all companies are evaluating their operations, and this decision regarding SIIM was certainly difficult to make,” said Randy Nagel, Fujifilm’s Director of Corporate Communications. “We remain steadfast in our support of the SIIM organization and the educational mission and research endeavors it drives forward. By diverting resources such as those allocated to this year’s SIIM exhibit, our goal is to continue our strong investment in product innovation, customer service and product support; areas that we believe our customers will reap the most benefits from investment.”
By maintaining its focus on the continued delivery of innovative and reliable imaging products and network systems, Fujifilm aims to deliver solutions that will help healthcare facilities further increase their efficiencies. And with high level support, customers can derive the best financial value for their institution by benefitting from the productive and reliable long-term use of Fujifilm products.
Nearly 20 years ago Fujifilm became the first corporate member of SIIM (which was then known as the Society for Computed Applications in Radiology – SCAR), and has since been a major supporter of the organization not only through exhibiting at the annual meeting, but via endeavors such as the establishment of one of the organization’s first user groups, and a contributor to the SIIM TRIP initiative. Strong proponents of the SIIM mission and purpose, Fujifilm staff frequently participate as lecturers and moderators in SIIM programs and openly exchange ideas to help improve the field of imaging and informatics.
