Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine 's SIIM 2011 annual meeting will take place from June 2 - 5, 2011 at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, Washington, DC.

SIIM (as an IHE sponsoring organization) initiated a program in 2008 to take top PACS administrators in our field, train them in IHE , and send them to the IHE Connectathon as monitors. The Connectathon is an enormous plugfest that typically attracts over 100 different clinical IT systems from over 60 IT vendors. To date, the program has been a profound success, with our monitors helping the vendors test their integration capabilities.

The SIIM 2011 IHE Monitor Team will participate in three webinars to train on how to be a successful monitor at the January 17-21, 2011 IHE North America Connectathon. This year's monitor team has experience in health IT systems (including Radiology ), health information exchange s, EHR Systems , and web services.
