ScImage, Inc. has expanded its agreement with Carestream Health., Inc., to include joint R&D initiatives
Aimed at developing a cardiology information solution that Carestream Health’s sales representatives can begin selling in parts of Europe and other areas of the world in mid 2009.
Since October of 2007, sales professionals from Carestream Health have been selling ScImage’s PicomEnterprise solution—with built-in capture and visualization tools—for integration with CARESTREAM Information Management Solutions (IMS) in the U.S. and Canada. A feature-rich cardiology solution featuring the data management capabilities of CARESTREAM IMS combined with the benefits of PicomEnterprise may help improve patient outcomes, increase efficiency and reduce departmental costs.
ScImage, Inc.’s powerful web-based cardiology software solution—PicomEnterprise—enables cardiology departments, outpatient cardiology clinics, and private-practice cardiologists to use a single database to manage, distribute and safeguard cardiac information gathered at various points of care. PicomEnterprise decreases cost and increases productivity by providing a single point of access to echo, cath, ECG, vascular, nuclear cardiology and hemo-dynamic reports.
CARESTREAM IMS is a scalable platform for the management and storage of digital medical images and information offering on-site or remotely hosted storage solutions. CARESTREAM IMS can be scaled to meet the needs of small-to-large hospitals and medical practices as well as regional or national healthcare information systems—all within the same software framework.
The enhanced agreement comes as the two companies are completing their first year of collaboration and co-marketing. “With several contracts for ScImage’s cardiology PACS integrated with CARESTREAM IMS already signed, we are looking forward to continued growth in our domestic business with Carestream Health while expanding our reach into other established markets around the world,” said ScImage Founder and CEO, Sai P.
