ScImage Strengthens Cardiology PACS Platform by Integrating TomTec Imaging Systems

Company News - ScImage, Inc.

Integrated solution will provide advanced 2D/3D Echo quantification tools for clinical evaluation

ScImage announced the immediate availability of its PicomEnterprise PACS with direct integration to TomTec ’s portfolio of advanced quantification solutions for 2D and 4D ultrasound imaging.

With recent advances pioneered by TomTec , the landscape for 3D quantification and advanced analysis of 2D data has changed. The clinical contribution to the decision making process is widely recognized and intuitive, easy to use software solutions are in use. All major ultrasound vendors provide 3D capable systems, which makes 3D available to nearly every lab.

ScImage and TomTec teamed up to offer seamless integration between their respective products, providing 3D workflow in clinical practice. The integration facilitates and improves access to 3D data through ScImage’s PicomEnterprise PACS for cardiology implementations. Through the integration of 2D and 3D imaging patient care as well as efficiency and productivity can be improved.

“Our philosophy has always been to design and deliver products based on industry standards, which of course, drives interoperability”, stated Sai P. Raya, Ph.D., ScImage Founder and CEO. “This is another good example of how our customers benefit by having access to best of breed technologies. We are very pleased to have partnered with TomTec to offer their advanced visualization and quantification tools in conjunction with our dynamic structured reporting module for echo.”

“Workflow integration has become one of the key requirements of our customers when implementing 3D in clinical practice. The co-operation with ScImage brings 3D ultrasound to the point of care and carries the practicability to another level,” says Frank Schlau, CMO of TomTec Imaging Systems.
