First order in Cyprus for Sectra MicroDose Mammography
| Company News - Sectra |
The women in Cyprus will soon be benefiting from low-dose mammography. The Aevresis Diagnostic Center in Nicosia, Cyprus, has chosen to digitize their mammography operations with a solution from the IT and medical-technology company Sectra. The system was sold by Proton S.A, Sectra’s new distribution partner for Greece and Cyprus.
With Sectra’s mammography system, Sectra MicroDose Mammography, Aevresis Diagnostic Center will be able to offer women mammography examinations with the lowest possible radiation dose.
“This will be the first low-dose mammography solution in Cyprus. Through digitization, we take advantage of increased throughput capacity and low dose, making our mammography screening operation efficient and at the same time safe for women,” says Dr Artemisia Fantousi, radiologist at Aevresis Diagnostic Center. “Based on the performance and overall cost effectiveness, Sectra’s solution was the best choice for us.”
The complete digital solution from Sectra is optimized for screening with less than 50 percent of the dose level of other manufacturers systems – and without any compromise on image quality.
