Next-generation Sectra PACS at ITEM 2008

Company News - Sectra

Sectra are increasing their presence in the Japanese market by introducing their next generation PACS at ITEM 2008, part of JRC 2008.

At JRC 2008, Sectra will continue to strengthen their presence on the Japanese market by focusing on important radiology trends such as the data explosion, work and image sharing solutions, enterprise control solutions (Control Tower, integrated remote monitoring and a comprehensive service portfolio) and in the mammography area, the latest within photon counting.

Next-generation Sectra PACS - solving the performance issue
For the first time in Japan, Sectra are showing the latest addition to the next-generation PACS workstation family, the IDS7/dx. IDS7/dx is a comprehensive high-end diagnostic workstation revolutionizing the radiologist's way of working. Sectra's patent pending technology for retrieving and displaying image data of extreme size eliminates problems encountered in working with large datasets. Optimized for efficient distribution images through advanced streaming technology and designed for variations in network quality, Sectra PACS is the ideal solution in a distributed reading scenario in which radiologists read images from multiple clinics.

The only true microdose mammography solution
Sectra is the only company that can offer a true microdose mammography solution. Low radiation dose is essential in mammography screening where large numbers of healthy women are examined on a regular basis. At ITEM, you will experience the unique photon-counting digital mammography system, Sectra MicroDose Mammography, maximizing image quality at the lowest radiation dose on the market.

At ITEM, Sectra will demonstrate an integrated solution for mammography screening, including Sectra MicroDose Mammography and Sectra Breast Imaging PACS, both designed to efficiently streamline mammography workflow.

Sectra orthopedic solution
The orthopedic solution maximizes productivity for orthopedic surgeons through advanced image processing capabilities and a comprehensive set of guides for pre-operative planning of hip and knee surgery. In addition it brings full functionality to plan and template complex trauma cases with ease. The latest version includes approximately 33 000 views of digital templates, from 18 implant manufacturers.
