| Company News - Sectra |
The IT and medical-technology company Sectra, will be showing its advanced web-based solution at this year’s American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, to be held from February 25th – 28th h in Las Vegas.
Sectra’s newest version of Orthopedic PACS delivers significant productivity improvements for the Surgeon. Deep functionality in a web-based application allows the user to view current and prior images, view reports and preoperatively plan as needed. Ease of use, customized workflow and extremely tight integration with Practice Management and EMR systems, cornerstones of Sectra’s solution for years, are further enhanced by the web-based capabilities of today’s Sectra PACS.
Sectra’s RapidConnect™ technology allows Sectra PACS to conquer frustrating challenges associated with reduced bandwidth and latency experienced at remote clinics and locations. Advanced compression algorithms and streaming technologies, efficient client-server protocols and dynamic data reduction are the keys to enabling an unbridled workflow in the orthopedic environment. These advanced capabilities are a result of years of research and customer driven innovation at Sectra.
Sectra has been a leader in pre-operative planning for more than a decade. Sectra’s orthopedic PACS provides a number of significant benefits for orthopedic surgeons, including the ability to deliver faster, higher quality patient care to a growing aging population. The technology also significantly increases precision in choosing templates in the pre-operative planning phase. Sectra’s orthopedic tools enhance the planning of orthopedic surgery for all specialties, including hips, knees, spine, sports medicine and complex trauma cases.
Top orthopedic care facilities across the country continue to invest in Sectra’s Orthopedic PACS in order to improve the efficiency and workflow of their orthopedic practices.
