Siemens Healthcare to showcase its next generation of ultrasound offerings
At this year's British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) Annual Scientific Meeting and Exhibition, Siemens Healthcare will showcase its innovative ultrasound range including the ACUSON S2000T 2.0 and ACUSON X300T Premium Edition. Siemens representatives will be on stand 5 offering demonstrations and presentations. This will include a guide through syngoR.fourSight Workplace, the first ultrasound application to work with NVIDIAR 3D VisionT technology. This enables 3D/4D volume manipulation plus 2D image and clip review to enhance diagnostic confidence.
The S2000 2.0 introduces Siemens' second generation implementation of Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) technology and comprehensive imaging enhancements that enable clinicians to easily obtain images with more clarity, better contrast resolution and greater penetration. The system innovation is further supported with the strengthening of Siemens' UK sales and application teams, which will enable the roll out of a nationwide upgrade to existing customers and drive impetus to wider ultrasound communities.
The ability to run the software either on a stand-alone PC or on PACS , syngo.fourSight Workplace gives the flexibility needed to address a broad range of clinical environments. It works with a variety of Siemens' ultrasound offerings including the S2000 2.0 and X300 Premium Edition.
The X300 PE works across a range of routine clinical examinations including musculoskeletal, gynaecology, obstetrics and urology. Small, high density, curved-array transducers such as the Hanafy Lens CH5-2, which features advanced 'SynAps' technology, enable superior contrast resolution when scanning 'difficult-to-image' patients.
BMUS 2010 is being held in Brighton from 28-30 September. For more information visit www.bmus2010.org <http://www.bmus2010.org/> .
