CSP: First Pocket Ultrasound from Siemens

Company News - Siemens Healthcare

CSP Medical introduces the ACUSON P10 ultrasound system, the first pocket ultrasound device–a handheld diagnostic and screening tool designed for physicians, nurses, EMTs and clinical professionals.

CSP Medical, a wholesaler and retailer of medical equipment recently introduced the ACUSON P10 ultrasound system, the first pocket ultrasound device–a handheld diagnostic and screening tool designed for physicians, nurses, EMTs and clinical professionals.

Physicians can carry the ACUSON P10 system with them to make earlier, faster and more accurate decisions at the point of care. The Acuson P10 can be used anywhere, anytime — during regular office exams, on rounds and in trauma settings. It can be applied to a wide array of applications — from cardiology and OB/GYN to emergency medicine and more. It will fundamentally enhance how patients are cared for.

In Canada, Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) is the first to use the new portable ultrasound. “We believe the Acuson P10 System will be an invaluable tool in helping triage patients with internal hemorrhage more rapidly than ever before and will lead to improved patient outcomes,” says Dr. Savvas Nicolaou, Director of Emergency and Trauma Imaging. He says “It is widely understood that patients who have treatment initiated within the first critical hour have an increased chance of survival.”
