Company News - Siemens Healthcare

Oxford Children's Hospital, part of Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust, has recently installed a next generation ultrasound system from Siemens Healthcare.

Oxford Children's Hospital, part of Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust, has recently installed a next generation ultrasound system from Siemens Healthcare.  The ACUSON S2000 is currently being used in general diagnostics, providing a high quality imaging service for young patients.

The ACUSON S2000, a product from Siemens, combines superior image quality and adaptive ergonomics to improve diagnostic confidence.  Oxford Children's Hospital is now benefiting from a range of features that assist in providing clear details in renal and abdominal examinations.  Sonographers at the hospital have also noticed an improvement in superficial imaging compared to the previous ultrasound system.

"The new ultrasound is excellent to work with and we are very pleased with the image quality, in particular renal examinations where it provides superior image resolution of the kidneys," said Kaye Platt, Consultant Paediatric Radiologist at Oxford Children's Hospital.  "The S2000 is also comfortable, intuitive and simple to use – it has been easy to train our staff members."

"The ACUSON S2000 is a versatile and user-friendly system that is prepared for the future of ultrasound," said Janice Miles, Ultrasound Sales Manager at Siemens Healthcare.  "Its lightweight and compact design makes this a sound choice for a paediatric hospital and its versatility is highly beneficial in a general diagnostics environment."
