Siemens Delivers Enterprise-level Health IT to Small Community Hospitals
| Company News - Siemens Healthcare |
Siemens Healthcare, a pioneer in enterprise health information technology (IT), announced a new commitment to delivering Soarian solutions to small community and rural hospitals.
Soarian is already helping connect community healthcare providers to connect care for their patients and today Siemens spotlights two recent Soarian "Go-Lives" in these settings.
"Rural and small community providers have the same challenge as urban and academic medical centers - do more with a shrinking pool of resources," said John Glaser, PhD, CEO, Siemens Healthcare, Health Services Business Unit. "Decreasing technology costs, increasing availability of high-performance networks and the opportunity to remotely manage many aspects of health IT are converging to put Siemens in a unique position to deliver enterprise-level healthcare IT to these providers. We can therefore help those hospitals overcome traditional boundaries to health IT deployment, such as limited access to capital and to personnel, and help them maintain a position of local leadership in their communities."
