Connectivity of the Dimension Vista 1500 System and new Centrifuge Module for ADVIA Automation Solutions offers more choices to enhance laboratory workflow and efficiency
Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics adds new automation capabilities for clinical laboratories: Connectivity of the Dimension Vista 1500 Intelligent Lab System to ADVIA Automation Solutions combines the benefits of an integrated chemistry and immunoassay system with the productivity and expanded capacity of high-volume automation. In addition, the new ADVIA Centrifuge Module addresses growing test volume and turnaround requirements for labs with its increased specimen processing capacity.
The Dimension Vista 1500 System’s new connectivity to the ADVIA Automation track provides additional configuration options that help clinical laboratories customize workflow solutions to address unique operational needs. ADVIA Automation Solutions offer a high-performance option to laboratories; processing patient samples in a single, consolidated, high volume workstation.
Designed for high volume laboratories, the ultra-integrated Dimension Vista 1500 combines four technologies in one analyzer—photometry, nephelometry, V-LYTE electrolyte detection and LOCI advanced chemiluminescence. Using four concurrent detection technologies, the system provides laboratory staff with the ability to perform a broad range of chemistry, immunoassay and plasma protein testing on one analyzer.
Adding to ADVIA automation options for customers is the new Centrifuge Module that together with the recently released decapper module offers one of the fastest centrifugation throughputs available to help decrease pre-analytical processing time of patient samples. The centrifuge quickly and efficiently processes STAT and routine samples in intermixed tubes and caps with minimal attention or intervention by the operator.
“Siemens continues to invest in automation solutions for our customers,” said David Hickey, Executive Vice President, Central Laboratory and Global Research and Development, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. “Now, with the ability to connect the Dimension Vista 1500 System with ADVIA high-volume automation, laboratories can combine the best of both worlds—ultra integration with speed and efficiency.”
