Sorna Introduces New Free DICOM CD/DVD Viewer for Healthcare Professionals

Company News - Sorna
Sorna Corporation is leading the industry again by offering a free DICOM CD/DVD viewer. Sorna Corporation which pioneered automated DICOM CD burning for medical applications in 1999, is leading the industry again by offering a free DICOM CD/DVD viewer.

Reviewer CD, the DICOM CD/DVD viewer, is being offered free of charge to healthcare treatment and healthcare IT professionals for the asking. The DICOM viewer giveaway program is being launched at the annual meeting of the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) held in Denver July 27-31.

"Sorna is making the Reviewer CD free of charge because physicians and other healthcare
professionals deserve to use a well-designed DICOM CD viewer." said Cyrus Samari, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Physicians are frustrated with all the different viewers on CDs they get. They asked us for a consistent viewing platform for their incoming CD/DVDs. We responded.”

The Reviewer CD is designed for ease of use and rapid display of DICOM images from any modality. It can be installed on any computer running Microsoft Windows 2000®, XP® or Vista® operating systems. Reviewer CD is one edition of Sorna’s Reviewer product line. It can be easily upgraded to other Reviewer editions, expanding features and functionality.

Sorna, offering the largest selection of networked DICOM CD/DVD publishing systems for medical applications, created the new DICOM viewer at the request of its customers. It may be obtained through the Sorna website, www.sorna.com.
