Gore Launches New Cloud-Based 3-D Case Planning System

Company News - TeraRecon

Revolutionary Web-Based Tool Unveiled at 2010 Society for Vascular Surgery’s (SVS) 2010 Vascular Annual Meeting.

W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore) announced the launch of a new internet cloud-based 3-D advanced visualization and decision support system to aid physicians in case planning at the Society for Vascular Surgery’s 2010 Vascular Annual Meeting being held in Boston, Massachusetts.

This revolutionary 3-D modeling system and case planning aid, powered by TeraRecon’s award-winning iNtuition application software, employs a new, secure DICOM image upload technology developed by TeraRecon to deliver unmatched ease of use, reliability and responsiveness to physicians and clinicians needing rapid access to 3-D planning tools. The combination of rapid file upload and immediate cloud-based access to the full iNtuition vascular analysis and reporting tools decreases interpretation turn-around times and offers physicians the potential to reduce case planning delays.

Robert Taylor, PhD, TeraRecon president and CEO stated, “The GORE 3-D modeling system is a strong validation of iNtuition and its superior architectural design. iNtuition requires far fewer servers, is easier to administrate, and can provide a significantly lower total cost when providing such advanced visualization services to scores of clinical end-users. iNtuition’s secure upload technology, leveraging the general availability of ports utilized for secure web browsing, has also proven itself to be highly-effective, simple to deploy, and a key component to our achieving seamless cloud-based clinical workflow.”
