TeraRecon, provider of advanced imaging processing technology and solutions, announced it has achieved greater than 100 per cent sales bookings growth for the US and Canada in Q2 2007 in comparison with the same quarter in 2006, while also completing several notable enterprise installations of the Aquarius product suite.

"The strong quarter-on-quarter growth experienced in Q2 2007 underscores TeraRecon's technological superiority for enterprise advanced imaging and our recent staff expansion. Over the past twelve months, we have carefully enlarged and focused our field sales and service organization to provide expert configuration and deployment consultation to prospective customers. The combination of our true enterprise-class 3D technology, consultative approach and positive market dynamics have combined to position the company for rapid and sustained growth", said Robert Taylor, PhD., TeraRecon executive vice president and chief operating officer. "Channel partners including PACS companies and service providers such as NightHawk Radiology Services are expanding their use of TeraRecon's advanced visualization products as a method of providing convenient access to best-in-class tools for medical imaging professionals in the context of their PACS or MDCT environments."

Examples of recent TeraRecon deployments purchased for use with PACS include Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, Oregon, and Caritas Christi Health Care in Boston, Massachusetts, both for use with McKesson PACS. Dr. Jeffrey Mendel, Chairman of Radiology at Caritas St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston stated "After a careful evaluation of the available technologies over several months, we selected TeraRecon primarily due to the architecture of the company's client-server technology for advanced visualization, which enabled the most practical and efficient workflow integration with our McKesson PACS.
